How To Fill Up Objective Type Answer Sheets For NDA, CDS Exams
After filling up the online application form on UPSC website, the next step for the candidates is to wait for the admit card. Once they get the admit card which they can also generate online, they will have to appear in the objective type exams as per the given patterns here.
General examination rules & regulations are observed during the conduct of examination in addition to the special instructions issued by UPSC from time-to-time.
Method of marking answers
In the Objective Type of examination, you do not write the answers.
For each question, several suggested answers are given. You have to choose one response to each item. The question paper will be in the Form of Test Booklet. The booklet will contain item bearing numbers 1, 2, 3…….etc. Under each item, Responses marked (a), (b), (c), (d) will be given.
Your task will be to choose the correct response. If you think there is more than one correct response, then choose what you consider the best response. Candidates are required to fill in the relevant particulars with black ball pen only.
How To Fill Up The Answers & Self-Particulars In Answer Sheets In NDA/CDS
Follow these instructions very carefully. The answer sheets are to be evaluated on machine, any violation of these instructions may result in reduction of your score or rejection of answer sheets. Also you will be provided with only one answer sheet (no exchange/replacement is allowed). Before you mark your responses on the Answer Sheet, you will have to fill in various particulars in it. Below is an example of the first sheet of Answer Sheet.
Write your Roll Numbers exactly as it is in your e-Admission Certificate with Black ball pen in the boxes provided for this purpose. Do not omit even zero(s) if they areÂ there.
Next step is to find out the appropriate subject code from the Time Table. Now encode the Test Booklet Series, Subject Code and the Roll Number in the circles provided for this purpose. Do the encoding with Black Ball pen. The name of the Centre need not be encoded. Writing and encoding of Test Booklet Series is to be done after receiving the Test Booklet and confirming the Booklet Series from the same.
For Mathematics subject paper of Test Booklet Series you have to encode the subject code, which is 01. So do it like it is shown below:
All that is required is to blacken completely the circle marked below the Booklet Series and below the subject code blacken completely the Circles for (in the first vertical column) and (in the second vertical column). You should then encode the Roll No.081276. So do it like it is shown below:
After filling up the first page of Answer sheet properly, next you will have to enter the probable answers on the back of Answer sheet. We have given below a specimen copy Answer sheet for the candidates to familiarize.
